SITE DONATION AND SPONSORSHIP

Terminology and Definitions
Donations: Donations are essential and contribute towards meeting the general maintenance and upkeep costs of this commercial site. Regretfully, through administrative and banking constraints the lower limit for donations is £5.00 (5.00 UK pounds).
General Sponsorship: Sponsorship is used to cover the design and publication costs for each sponsored page. Whole web pages may be sponsored at a cost of £100 per year and may be shared between up to four sponsors. Each sponsor may include a hyperlink or advertising banner to a site of their choosing.
Subject to availability the sponsor is able to choose the page or theme that they wish to support.
Specific Sponsorship: Sponsorship is welcomed for the publication of additional pages on either other themes or more indepth information on existing ones. It may take the form of the sponsor supplying information for publication or their commisioning of the appropriate research, design and publication by ourselves. With such a wide range of possibilities the content could vary tremendously and the fee for sponsorship may have to be negotiated. Caution: Do not use this as a reason for not putting ideas forward - we may always have other potential sponsors thinking along similar lines...

Conditions: All material publicised is subject to the approval of the Holy Island Internet Steering Group. Where requested the contributors' anonimity will be respected.
  • Donations and sponsorship cannot be refunded.
  • Sponsorship will cease or be transferred after 1 year in the event that the renewal fee is unpaid.
  • The basis of sponsored Lindisfarne Links web pages is non-profit making. Any residue will be transferred to the Parish Church of St.Mary the Virgin or the Marygate House Retreat (registered charity) at the discretion of the steering committee.
