Do you have a geneology link? My great,great grandmother, Isabella Wilson (1824),and grandfather,Henry Davidson(1861), were born on Holy Island but moved to Newcastle and then Gateshead before 1865. Is there a book that covers life on the island during the 1800s?

We visited Holy Island on 26/07/07. The low tide was at 1620. By the time we reached the village everywhere was shut (17:00). Would it not benefit the island tourism to extend the closing time so that tourists can at least see the attractions and also buy goods from the various shops. Greetings. I attended St. Hilda's Catholic School in Whitby, Yorkshire from 1969-1974. The nuns who ran the school took us on a 3 day trip to Holy island and we stayed with some monks there. Last year we stayed at a bed and breakfast place which the year before used to have a tea room on the ground floor. Iit seems to be a double house with 1 door in centre opposite the Lindisfarne Mead shop. We have lost the address of the owner. Can you help to contact them as we wish to visit again this year.
