St.Chad went out from the monastery of Lindisfarne (Holy Island) to help spread the Christian faith throughout Saxon England.

"People like Chad and his brothers helped to set the Church in this land on a firm foundation. We can still learn from their seeking to make God the priority of their lives. We can be enriched by their earthiness and their deep love for the world as well as its creator. My hope is that looking at such inspiring people will help us to soar on eagles' wings and to put our trust and hope in our God. "
